Where Spirits Walk (formerly Lead Dog Spock Kennels) started small in the summer of 1996 with only a few dogs and the intense desire to explore and enjoy the wilderness of Alaska by dog team. Every dog taught us so much about this wonderful sport and in their own quiet way introduced us to a world far better then we ever dreamed possible.
Over the years we focused on perfecting our gear, the kennel and fine tuning our working dog's line to create an efficient peaceful mushing atmosphere in the heart of this great state.

To this day we hold true to our humble beginnings and keep our kennel small insuring each dog gets the best of our time and attention. With this specialized care our dogs develop into calm, loyal, hardworking huskies who are a joy to work with on and off the trail.

If you are booking a ride or kennel tour with us, do yourself a favor... leave your watch at home. Here at the kennel we go by 'Alaska Time', freely following nature down the trail and allowing us all to let go of the stress and tension in our everyday lives.

Our focus has been, and always will be, on the dogs, their care, our bond with them and the mutual respect we have for each other. These dogs are so much more than our family, they are soul mates who travel with us through this wonderful place, existing on this beautiful earth and to the lands beyond.

For so many years it has been our delight to share this life with so many around the globe. No matter what country you call home we invite you to browse around our site, book a tour and enjoy a journey into our day to day lives on and off the trail with our furry children.

May you delight in getting to know each and every one as we have throughout the years...
