Our dogs, like most Alaskan Huskies, are not a specific breed but more so a combination of many different bloodlines focusing on traits such as the desire to work, a dense coat and large size. Over the years we have searched out the largest heavily coated husky we could find and to this day maintain a strong desire of getting back to the 'old ways' of our sport when sled dogs were used to haul mail, supplies and comfortably endure long cold nights on the trail.

We also desired our dogs to be trusted members of our family, able to be run loose, to be unhooked from the team and to come back to their place on the line when called. All these traits make our job running the team much easier since we never know when we will have to get off the runners to snowshoe ahead, cut trees blocking our trail or manage a difficult tangle within the team.

There is nothing quite like 10 or more huskies running crazily all around us, darting through trees and chasing each other through the woods while we snowshoe through the deep snow. Some of them like to help find the trail while others, usually the younger ones, quickly learn how far back to stay away from the ends of our snowshoes enjoying the easy broken path we make for them.

Below you will find all the working dogs in our kennel, as well as a few retirees. From the first minute of their lives to the last moment they are on this earth, they will have a permanent home with us. The years often pass too quickly by, but it is our delight to be in each and every moment... from their first wobbly steps to the gradual graying of their muzzle. Every part of their lives is special and treasured in so many ways...
